Department & Graduate School of Architecture
In the department of Architecture, you can get some basic ability. For example, the cognition and solicitude of architecture, the skill of showing off. Also, there are three course plans for the more professional domain. The first is “the strengthening of internship for practical design education” (above the design for public and living facility.) The second is “the regional building and the operating of lasting environment.” And the final is “keeping cultures and renewing old architectures.”(the creative culture industry) The three plans let students get in touch with Art and Design department’s courses.
Department and Graduate School of Industrial Design:
Department of Fine Arts & Culture Creative Design
There are three main programs of study in this department, Fine Arts、Culture Creative Design and U-Theatre preforming Art . One is the Fine Arts program that offers the learning of traditional, modern and contemporary Art. The courses including ink painting, sketch, printmaking, art history and so on. Theoretical research or practices will be equally pursued. The other program is Culture Creative Design program which is focused on the understanding the culture heritage and resources, doing creative design and developing the skill of culture-led industry and management. And another is “U-Theatre” special program, this courses including novel facets of drumming meditation, and martial arts to create a series of original works integrated with a wide range of elements drawn from music, literature, drama, dance and ritual.
Department of Environmental and Hazards-resistant Design
Environmental and Hazards-resistant Design offers multidisciplinary training that can prepare students for the career of Civil Engineering or Landscape Horticulture and Design. It is our mission to develop and disseminate knowledge associated with the protection, design, and sustainable use of landscape. Three fundamental tracks run through the curriculum – engineering technologies, landscape design, and conservation ecology. Students graduate from the department are open to career opportunities including construction engineering, hydrologic engineering, environment planning, private practice, governmental agencies, and land-use design.
